- John MacDonald Badham est un réalisateur de cinéma et de télévision américain d'origine anglaise, surtout connu pour les films Saturday Night Fever (1977), Blue Thunder (1983), WarGames (1983), Short Circuit (1986) et Stakeout (1987). Badham a travaillé à la télévision pendant des années, avant de percer en 1977 avec Saturday Night Fever, un énorme succès mondial avec John Travolta dans le rôle principal. WarGames (1983), avec Matthew Broderick dans le rôle principal, est son autre film phare, célèbre pour son approche des peurs populaires de la guerre froide concernant le terrorisme nucléaire et l'holocauste, ainsi que pour être l'un des premiers films à aborder la sous-culture du piratage amateur. En plus de ses nombreux crédits au cinéma, Badham a également réalisé et produit pour la télévision, notamment pour Night Gallery de Rod Serling et la série télévisée The Beast d'A&E. Il a également contribué aux commentaires de la série Web Trailers from Hell.
