- James Franco est un acteur, réalisateur, producteur, scénariste, mannequin et écrivain américain, né le 19 avril 1978 à Palo Alto en Californie. Il est révélé au grand public durant les années 2000 avec son rôle de Harry Osborn dans la trilogie Spider-Man (2002-2007) de Sam Raimi. L'année 2008 lui permet de confirmer sa notoriété avec deux projets très différents : la comédie Délire Express, de David Gordon Green et le biopic Harvey Milk, de Gus Van Sant, face à Sean Penn dans le rôle-titre. Par la suite, il est la tête d'affiche de blockbusters : le film concept 127 heures (2010) de Danny Boyle, La Planète des singes : Les Origines (2011) de Rupert Wyatt et Le Monde fantastique d'Oz (2013) de Sam Raimi. Il joue également dans des films indépendants comme Spring Breakers (2012) de Harmony Korine, ou encore Palo Alto (2013) de Gia Coppola. En 2017, il réalise plusieurs films (dont The Disaster Artist) et tient le premier rôle d'une série télévisée diffusée par HBO entre 2017 et 2019, The Deuce, face à Maggie Gyllenhaal.
