- Lee J. Cobb, né le 8 décembre 1911 à New York et mort le 11 février 1976 à Woodland Hills, est un acteur américain. De son vrai nom Leo Jacoby, il est issu d'une famille juive de New York. Son plus grand rôle reste celui du troisième juré — celui le plus longtemps convaincu de la culpabilité d'un jeune accusé — dans le film de procès Douze hommes en colère (1957) réalisé par Sidney Lumet. On se souvient aussi de son rôle de chef de gang dans Sur les quais et de policier dépassé dans L'Exorciste. Lee J. Cobb meurt d'une crise cardiaque à 64 ans, en 1976 à Woodland Hills et est enterré au Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery de Los Angeles.
