- Née le 23 avril 1928 à Santa Monica (Etats-Unis), Shirley Temple n'a que quatre ans lorsqu'elle débute dans Kid's Last Stand en 1932. Elle tourne de nombreux films et devient une enfant-star au milieu des années 1930. Elle reste célèbre pour ses rôles dans C'est pour toujours (1934) dans son rôle de petite fille moralisatrice et pour lequel elle reçoit un Oscar de la jeunesse, La Mascotte du régiment (1937), Heidi (1937) ou encore Le Massacre de Fort Apache (1948). En 1949, à l'âge de 20 ans, elle met fin à sa carrière d'actrice pour embrasser une carrière dans la politique. Membre du Parti républicain, elle devient en ambassadrice au Ghana de 1974 à 1976 puis en Tchécoslovaquie de 1989 à 1992. Shirley Temple est morte le 10 février 2014, à l'âge de 85 ans.
